Here I was thinking that there wasn’t anything to post about this week, when in through the doors walks a collection of extremely well taken care of graphic novels and other books. Enough to make a feature blog post on them alone! So let’s dive in and show you curious folks what sort of great stuff has found a new (temporary) home on our shelves.
Quite the influx of recent, hard to find and popular graphic novels featuring the works of big names in the comic industry as well as new voices making their mark.
Quite a few stories that stay on brand with the stores mission featuring content and creators that we are all about
Romeo & Juliet
Two very different interpretations of the familiar tale of Romeo and Juliet. One retelling the story through the visual of modern New York gang warfare (with swords) and the other working Ryan North’s unique brand of humour into a delightful choose-your-own-adventure!
Graphic novel biographies
I’m loving the trend towards graphic novel biographies we’ve been seeing in comics lately. They present the story of people’s lives as a narrative rather than the dense content overload you can encounter in prose biographies.
Several of the harder to find John Constantine Hellblazer volumes.
Deluxe 100 Bullets Set
Bundling these deluxe hardcover volumes together as a set we’re selling off the entire series for for $129.95
A range of different All-Ages titles featuring recent Young Adult stories to graphic novels of properties both older and more recent
Inspired a Film Version
A few fiction works that inspired recent television and movie adaptations. Fan of the other versions? See where they came from with these stories
Musing of TV Celebrities
And to wrap things up here are some biographies from television icons that we all know and love. Explore the experiences these folks share about their lives outside of the shows we know them from.
Knowing the type of books that don’t last long around here, these titles will go fast. If you have any questions shoot them my way at firstname.lastname@example.org
See you next time!
